I have over 150 knives many above the $1000 mark and this is my new favorite. The fidget factor is tops, not to mention the quality & design are superb! Thanks also for the updated version with the safety lock and torx hole in the middle of the pivot. I will be looking forward to new premium knives from Remette. This is a very recommendable and reputable company. I am not a verified buyer from this site because they were out of stock. I either got it from White Mountain Knives.
Show this off. Sleek and handsome. Solidly built. The blade comes sharp and it’s design beautiful. Quality throughout. A bit heavy for EDC, but the main drawback is a reluctance to stoop to lowly box cutting.
It’s ok, for the cost it could have been a lot better. First the scales have no micro milling, flat slabs of titanium, nothing special there. Then where they did add a bit of extra on the scale near the pivot it is just another slab added on top of the previous slab, this small accent does have some contour milling on it. All of this should have been milled from one solid piece of titanium with added micro milling on the scale face for grip and looks.
The release button at the blade pivot, I thought that would be the neat feature on this knife, but it turns out that you can mistakenly hit the button while working with the open knife. The button should have been recessed below the outside edge of the button to help prevent inadvertently depressing it allowing the knife blade to close.
I can’t address the quality of the heat treat to the m390, have not had the knife long enough. Because of the pivot button this knife is kind of a novelty, but it could have been a nicer novelty with solid scales that are micro milled for grip and appearance. At the current cost and build configuration I would pass on it until improvements are made.
